10 REASONS THE ASHLEY WOODS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION PROVIDES REAL VALUE TO YOU:
Almost every neighborhood in Cary is HOA managed. HOAs are designed to place the primary responsibility of neighborhood upkeep with residents themselves. The result is a much cleaner environment, higher standard of living and better property values.
All street storm drains flow into the community stormwater pond. This is maintained, at great expense, by the Association.
Both neighborhood entrances are built and maintained by the Association.
Gazebo and Common Space lawn areas are maintained by the Association for member's use and enjoyment.
Association Covenants keep property values high by preventing blight and neglect in surrounding homes (e.g. couch on the porch, junky yard syndrome, etc).
The Association ensures a consistent neighborhood standard. We have all witnessed homes that sell and ones that go downhill.
Homes within the Association commonly have lower home insurance rates.

The “Architectural Change Request" process prevents issues such as "pink" houses and the clear cutting of trees.

YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT NOT EVERY HOME IS AN ASSOCIATION MEMBER
It might surprise you to learn that not every home in Ashley Woods is a member of the Association.

The developer of several homes along Capistrane, Carswell, Bowers & Byrd Hill Ct did not properly file the intended paperwork to join these homes to the HOA.

Today, member and voluntary member households carry the burden. The Board of Directors operates the Association with as little overhead as possible. This is done both for efficiency but also budgetary necessity. We use a management company, Associa HRW, to keep track of our budget and finances. They also provide our code inspection service on a monthly basis, handle resident contacts, and more.
Each non member home that contributes helps out a great deal, by providing additional funds to spruce up our neighborhood. Many of our non member homeowners realize this and have chosen to become Full Members with voting rights.

We are thankful for the contributions of both our members and non-members. If you are not a Member or regularly contributing to the Association, would you join us?
